Hi! I’m Nate, a communications specialist based in Mohkinstsis/Calgary.

I am the editor of The Scene magazine, the head artist bio writer for the Sled Island Music & Arts Festival, and a freelance copywriter with companies such as POD Marketing. As a contributing writer, I have bylines in CBC Arts, The Escapist, Avenue Calgary, and more. Feature articles, website content, inter-office memos, song lyrics, play scripts, artist biographies, press releases, podcast outlines, brochure materials... You name it, and I've written it!

As a recovering theatre actor and current musician, I spent over a decade working in Calgary's arts and non-profit sector with companies such as Alberta Theatre Projects, Scorpio Theatre, and Swallow-a-Bicycle Theatre. This experience has instilled critical skills as a public speaker, director, board member, and administrative professional into my process. It’s also ingrained an insatiable curiosity within my craft that guides my research, interview, and interpersonal processes. And I can do a pretty killer Southern accent as well!

I seek to platform the stories of diversity and change that make Calgary exciting and channel my passion for connection into quality work for my clients. Honesty and excitement lie at the heart of all my work.

Whether 200 characters or 200 pages, your communication needs an authentic voice; I'll help you find it!
